Victor Hugo International Music Festival

16 July 2012 – 21 July 2012

St Peter Port

Taking part at various venues in St Peter Port the town comes alive next week with the biennial festival of music from the world’s leading classical performers. Supreme percussion virtuoso Evelyn Glennie leads the way, closely followed by BBC Young Musician finalist Benjamin Grosvenor now established as one of the brightest stars in the piano world.  Dancing from the Jewish sephardim takes over St James’s concert hall, and the festival’s Electric Nights hit the Princess Royal Centre with a night of improvised brilliance from The Lighthouse Trio. Plus, French chanson meets hip-hop with a visit from the stunning French group “Ommm”.
