Tennerfest 2014

menu and couple dining out

1 October – 11 November 2014

There’s not many places where you can you get fantastic showcase 3 course menus from just £10 but in Jersey and Guernsey for 6 weeks in October and November that really is the case!

As the summer sun sets, The Channel Islands cue some fabulous culinary fare with the Tennerfest Food Festival and it may still just be warm enough for some al fresco dining.

Starting on 1 October, Tennerfest 2014 promises to be an exciting time to visit the islands. Last year over 200 restaurants, cafés, bistros, gastro pubs, and hotels took part in highlighting delicious locally sourced, freshly cooked dishes.

The original aim of Tennerfest was to provide a 3 course set menu for £10 per person and many eateries continue to provide top class menus for this. However, many of the islands chefs have now diversified and owing to the popularity of the event, also offer 2 to 4 course fixed price menus for £12.50, £15, £17.50 and £20, giving much more choice.

Summer may have subsided but get inspired this Autumn and come and enjoy Tennerfest. Many of the hotels we feature will be taking part but menus are kept top secret until the last minute and only published in the last week of September! However, wherever you choose to stay, Tennerfest is an island wide event on both Jersey and Guernsey so you’ll certainly be spoilt for choice when it comes to where to eat and what to have.
